  • Secure currency handling – all student payments are in USD; Stripe converts securely to our Australian account.

  • Transparent fees: 1.75% + $0.30 (domestic cards)  |  2.9% + $0.30 (international cards).
  • Refunds: If applicable, refunds usually appear within 5–10 business days.

Security & Transparency

  • All payments are processed via secure, encrypted gateways.
  • Virtual English does not store payment details.
  • Students will only ever see charges in USD.

Refund & Deferral Policy

We want you to feel confident about your enrolment.

1. Minimum Enrolments

  • Each class requires 12 students to run.
  • If a class does not run, you may choose a Full Refund — returned via your original payment method, or a Deferral — moved to the next available start date at no extra cost.

2. Refund Process

  • Refunds are issued via your original payment method (PayPal or Stripe).
  • Funds usually appear within 5–10 business days.

3. Deferral Option

  • Your enrolment is automatically moved to the next available start date at no extra cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

What currency are payments processed in?

All Virtual English payments are processed in USD only. If you’re paying from outside the US, your bank or payment provider will handle the currency conversion automatically.

What is included in the B1–C1 course fee?

B1–C1 courses (12 weeks) include full course access, learning materials, and the Cambridge Linguaskill Test — an internationally recognised English proficiency test — all at no extra cost.

What is included in the A1 & A2 course fee?

A1 & A2 courses (8 weeks) include full course access and all learning materials.

Is the 12-month payment plan interest-free?

Yes. The plan simply divides your course fee into equal monthly instalments — no interest, no hidden charges.

Can I switch from a full payment to the monthly plan?

Payment plans must be selected at the time of enrolment. If you have questions about your payment arrangement, please contact us before completing your registration.

Is my payment information stored by Virtual English?

No. Virtual English does not store any payment details. All transactions are processed securely through Stripe or PayPal’s encrypted gateways.

What happens if my monthly payment fails?

Your payment provider (Stripe or PayPal) will attempt to retry automatically. We recommend keeping your payment details up to date to avoid any interruption to your enrolment.

Can I pay off my plan early?

Yes — please contact us directly if you’d like to settle your remaining balance ahead of schedule.

What if the class doesn’t reach the minimum of 15 students?

You’ll be offered either a full refund or a free deferral to the next available start date — your choice.

How long do refunds take?

Refunds are returned to your original payment method (Stripe or PayPal) and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
